In order to “know” yoga and really feel its work, one needs to learn how to sit, stand and breathe with awareness and intention. In this Basic Yoga class you will learn about the origins, philosophy, and progression of a yoga practice (via discussion and practice). You will learn and experience the physical fundamentals, breathing techniques and alignment principles of some of the more common poses in order to achieve confidence and benefits to help you grow your practice. Members who have attended this class, even those with broader experience, have found Basic Yoga very valuable and relevant to their own continuing practice.
