Suzannah

Suzannah was first introduced to yoga as a young teenager while she was training at a ballet academy. She found her way back to yoga at age 25 after years of dancing left her with Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis in both feet and legs, painful sciatica, and shoulder pain. She began to use yoga as way to heal her body from not only her physical injuries, but her depression and severe anxiety as well. She completed her 200 HR yoga teacher training at Thrive Yoga in Rockville, Maryland in 2016 and first began teaching gentle yoga at the Rockville Senior Center. She has also taught vinyasa, hatha, gentle, and core yoga at the Rockville Fitness Center. Suzannah believes yoga is for everybody and yoga is a profoundly healing practice of the mind, body and soul. Suzannah also studied psychology and dance at UMBC and plans to continue studying the therapeutic practices of dance and yoga to help students heal from pain, trauma, and injuries.
