“Bhakti” is a sanskrit word that means devotion. It is the art of finding the spiritual energy that exists within all of us through movement and flows, yogic philosophy, meditation, and mantras. This devotion is practiced in class through various techniques such as Bhagavad Gita readings, chanting mantras, practicing pranayama (breathing exercises), and sound bowl meditation.
Ease into your weekend with this Friday late afternoon class which offers a more gentle style of Hatha yoga. Prepare to move at a a slower pace with less intensive poses, including relaxing body stretches, breath work, and both standing and seated asanas. Suitable for all levels of experience, this class allows both experienced and new participants to increase flexibility in their bodies, calm the nervous system and quiet the mind. In this Hatha Flow class we'll be moving in and out of poses while we synchronize our movements with our breath. Expect to hold each pose a little bit longer. You'll have the opportunity to really immerse yourself in your practice as you breathe through various short flows dispersed throughout the class. Modifiable for all levels.
This classic yoga class links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body, aligning a deliberate sequence of poses to achieve a continuous flow. Of the yoga classes that we offer at Breathe the level 2/3 Vinyasa and 2/3 Slow Flow classes are considered more challenging. The Level 1/2 or All-Levels Vinyasa classes are more accessible for most.
